GEMT- The Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT) Uncompensated Cost Reimbursement Program is a voluntary program that allows for the reimbursement of uncompensated costs to eligible GEMT providers who provide qualifying emergency ambulance services to Department of Social Services, MO HealthNet participants. Many of you just completed the cost report necessary to participate I this program that was due December 31, 2018. This session will review the application process, problem areas, planning for the future and a questions and answer session.  Even if you didn’t enroll for 2019, this session could answer some questions you may have and help you decide if this program will work for your service.

Congress has mandated all ambulance service providers to submit cost data. In order to reform future ambulance payments, Congress may use the data collected to determine reimbursement levels and other alternative payment methods. This team of experts will present on the necessary data elements you should begin to collect, the systems you need to develop internally to pull data and the business decisions that need to be determined in order to get accurate, meaningful results.
